59 Talib insurgents were killed and injured in different parts of Afghanistan
The Ministry of Defense has announced in a newsletter that at least 59 insurgents were killed and injured in various parts of the country. According to the Ministry of Defense Newsletter, within 24 hours, the Afghan National Army and security forces have been able to launch 20 joint offensive and reconnaissance operations, 100 commando operations and 12 air strikes throughout insurgent’s hideouts in Afghanistan.
The newsletter also states that the purpose of launching these operations all around the country was to secure parliamentary elections, eliminate enemy nests and remove security threats in the provinces of Faryab, Herat, Samangan, Badghis, Ghazni, Baghlan, Kandahar, Balkh. Nangarhar, Sar-e-Pul, Helmand, and Nimroz. During the past 24 hours, the country’s air forces have also carried 133 flights to support the ground forces in the provinces mentioned below.
