Afghanistan, Pakistan traders concerns on worsening situation of trade among two countries
Afghanistan and Pakistan traders launched 3 day meeting in Islamabad to find new ways for having better trade. According to reports by “the Nation website” of Pakistan, the traders of two countries are concerned by decrease of trade between two nations. According to website, main reason for this issue is political tensions and creating new challenges for trade and transit agreements.
The joint room for trade and industries of Afghanistan and Pakistan has launched this meeting by support of security research and studies center. Mohammad Zubair Motiwala head of this joint room told media: “in past two years trade between Afghanistan and Pakistan has decreased from 2.7 billion dollars to 1.2 billion.” In 2014 the heads of 2 countries agreed that they will increase trade to 5 billion dollars in upcoming 5 years. But the reason of failure on behalf of this commitment is creating tensions by Pakistan.
