the opening of the first modern slaughterhouse in Kabul

Today, Thursday, the first modern slaughterhouse was opened and commissioned by the president Ghani. The slaughterhouse was opened by President Ghani and Nasir Ahmed Durrani, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock in the Rishkhor district of Kabul. The Ministry of Agriculture has released a newsletter: By the end of the year, the construction of three other slaughterhouses will be completed in three provinces of Herat, Balkh and Shakardara district of Kabul.
Another slaughterhouse is scheduled to be built in Kunduz until next year. These slaughterhouses would cost 30 million dollars, with the help of Asia development bank. Ministry of Agriculture officials says the construction of this slaughterhouse is a measure of the major projects of this ministry, each of which has a killing and processing capacity of 500 heads of goats, sheep and also 100 cows at a time.
