
The European Union pledges $ 1.2 billion to Afghanistan
KABUL-Afghanistan: At the second Geneva meeting, the European Union announced $ 1.2 billion pledges for Afghanistan over the next four years and its development plans.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said at the Geneva summit that the organization was ready to provide $ 1.2 billion in aid over the next four years.
Mr. Guterres also spoke about Afghanistan’s achievements and stressed that the country’s achievements must be preserved and built.
The UN Secretary-General called for an immediate ceasefire in Afghanistan, the control of the Corona virus, and the creation of a better environment for peace talks.
