17  Taliban prisoners released by government in Ghor

The Taliban has announced the release of 17 government prisoners from Ghor province.

“Today, once again, 17 government soldiers and policemen were released from the Ghor Islamic Emirate Prison and returned after providing assistance to their families,” Soheil Shahin, a Taliban spokesman in Qatar, wrote on his Twitter page on Saturday (July 11).

The Afghan government has so far released 4,020 Taliban prisoners from prisons across the country.
