27 Taliban insurgents killed in Kunduz

Security forces in Kunduz province say defense forces killed 27 Taliban in an operation last night.

Kunduz police spokesman Hijratullah Akbari, who killed 27 people, including a local commander, Qari Hafez, and wounded 19, as a result of a Taliban attack on security forces in Dashti Archi Khanabad and Imam Sahib Districts.

Mr. Akbari added that security and defense forces were in the defensive state in the clashes, killing two security forces and injuring four others.

But the Taliban have not said anything so far.
