A series of explosions in Balkh left 10 dead and wounded
Local officials in Balkh province say two people have been killed and eight others injured in two separate bomb blasts in central Balkh province.
Adel Shah Adel, a spokesman for the Balkh Police Command, said on Thursday (July 2) that two consecutive explosions had taken place in Mazar: The third district of Mazar-e-Sharif exploded. “Meanwhile, after security forces arrived at the scene, a second explosion took place in a crowd of security forces, killing two and injuring eight others.” Mr. Adel added: “One civilian and one security soldier were killed and eight others, including four security personnel, were injured in the incident.”
No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
