All New Year’s celebrations in Afghanistan were canceled to prevent the Corona virus

Officials in Presidential Palace say all ceremonies canceled to prevent corona outbreaks all major ceremonies were canceled, including high-rises in Mazar-e-Sharif and Karte Sakhi Kabul to prevent corona outbreaks.

Wahid Amar, a presidential adviser on public and strategic affairs, wrote on his Twitter page that the celebration of new year in Mazar-e-Sharif has officially been abolished, adding that we are asking our dear compatriots to celebrate new year in their homes and travel and to prevent a rally.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health has reported 11 cases of coronavirus infection in the country.
