Apple is fined € 2m for deliberately slowing down the iPhone
Apple has agreed to pay € 5m in fines for slowing customers’ mobile phones and not informing them in France.
The deal came after Apple and the French prosecution announced that a consumer rights and free competition body had given Apple mobile phone customers a message that they were upgrading their iPhone devices (with OS 3.1 and later). 2.3) Slowing down their systems not received.
These update packages, released in year 2, have slowed down the iPhone 5, SE, and iPhone 5 devices.
