As the Taliban’s crimes continue, especially targeting civilians and targeted killings, in the most recent case, the foreign minister released a video message and claiming that the Taliban’s crime continues, and he is stressing that the group has never lived up to its commitments to the Afghan people.

“We want peace, but if these crimes continue, we want the perpetrators to be brought to justice,” Foreign Minister Hanif Atmar warned in a video clip to the Taliban. Our message is to think again about what you have done; continuing these crimes will bring you to trial, wherever you sit. If you are in Doha or Pakistan, you have a responsibility to stop these crimes. The crimes committed in the Barchi and Logar plains are the responsibility of the Taliban, and they should stop these war crimes at any cost.”

Mr. Atmar emphasized that the Taliban had expanded their psychological warfare in addition to physical warfare and that the group is now seeking to escalate insurgent attacks across the country instead of a ceasefire: “If you want to, stop this crime. So why not make a ceasefire? You said (Taliban), release our 6,000 prisoners and let the foreigners out, then we will make ceasefire; now it happens, your prisoners have been released, and the process of the foreign troop’s withdrawal has begun so that you will continue your crimes. You give, and you carry out the killing; in that case, you would be punished.»

Mr. Atmar once again warned the Taliban that they would not be spared if they ignored their behavior. “I want to make it clear that the Afghan government is ready to make peace with any sacrifice needed for this process, Atmar said.”But if the killing of the Afghan people continues, the president and the former Loya Jirga have decided to stand up against the criminals and their acts. We are using the justice system not only nationally but also internationally to punish the criminals.

Afghanistan’s foreign minister has warned the Taliban that its spokesmen have denied involvement in subsequent attacks on the Sayed-ul-Shuhada school in Kabul’s 13th district. On the other hand, in the last few days, the group has increased its military pressure in Kandahar, Baghlan, Helmand, Uruzgan, and other parts of the country.
