Interior Ministry: at least 5 people were killed in today’s Kabul blast
Five people were killed and two others wounded in a suicide attack in Shash Darak area of capital Kabul on Monday morning, an official said.
The explosion took place at around 8am in the limits of 9th police district, according to eyewitnesses.
Najib Danish, spokesman for the Minister of Interior, said a suicide bomber detonated his explosives close to National Directorate of Security checkpoint.
Five individuals were killed and two others injured, he said without giving more details.
Pajhwok reporter from the site of the blast reported that security forces cordoned off the area and no one was allowed to enter.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the blast.
