13 Afghan Security members were killed in Shindand Herat
At least 13 Afghan security forces have been killed in suspected Taliban attacks in western Herat Province, officials say. Ten police were killed and four wounded in the Shindand district, where fighting with the militants lasted for hours, Shukrullah Shaker, the district governor, said. An unspecified number of militants were also killed, according to Shaker.
At the same time, Taliban has released a newsletter and they have claimed that during this attack they have killed several Afghan Security man and also they have seized amount of ammunition and equipment. But in a newsletter, Afghan defense ministry has highlighted that during defensive operation in Shindand of Herat they were able to kill several Taliban militants and destroy their equipment’s.
