A group of healthcare advocates in Venezuela says 15 people have died as a result of power outages in the country. Franco Valencia, head of the Department of Health, told Cody Vida that all of these patients had a Kidney problem, and all died of their machines being shut down.
Nicolas Maduro, president of Venezuela, said the power outage is an act of conspiracy by his country’s opposition. Meanwhile, Venezuela’s opposition leader Venezuela Juan Guido has declared himself an interim president, adding that Maduro’s government, with its socialist policies, wants to hurt Venezuela’s economy.
