21 Talib insurgents were killed in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz
Security officials in northeastern Afghanistan have announced that during clashes between Afghan security and defense forces killed at least 21 insurgents were killed in Imam Sahib district of Kunduz. The press office of Kunduz police has quoted Abdul Baqi Nooristani police commander of the province that Taliban launched their massive attack on security bases in Imam Sahib district, but they were pushed back after Afghan police resist against them. According to Mr. Nooristani, at least 12 other rebels got injured in these clashes.
The police commander has also added in the newsletter: in these clashes, Taliban faced heavy casualties and their attack was set back by security forces. Imam Sahib district of Kunduz is located in the north of the province and it is bordered with Tajikistan.
