31 armed Taliban were killed in Faryab

Local authorities in the north of the country announce that during a military operation at least 31 armed insurgents were killed due to the air strikes of security forces in the governorate of Farah province. Hanif Rezayee, the spokesman of 209 Shaheen Corps, told media that 31 armed Taliban had been killed since the air strikes by security forces in the Yukon region of Gharzivan district of Faryab Province.
As a result of the operation, an important militant group of the Taliban has been completely destroyed, Mr. Rezayee added. Until now, the Taliban have not participated in the event with details from the media.
