Hundreds of suspects were arrested in connection with drug trafficking. Counter Narcotics Justice Center (CNJC) spokesman Khalid Mowahid has said in a press conference which was held in Government Media center: “The Counter Narcotics Police was able to arrest at least 321 people in connection with 258 drug trafficking cases, Media Center. To address further these cases have been forwarded to the Counter Narcotics Justice Center and soon these cases would be followed. ”

Mr. Mowahid has also said: “During the first three months of the year, 293 people were sentenced to 1 to 30 years of in prison in connection with drug trafficking by the primary court of Counter Narcotics and drug trafficking. Until now 202 suspects were sentenced in accordance to 148 cases, to different penalties for imprisonment.”

The Counter Narcotics Police, in addition to arresting individuals in connection with 258 cases, discovered more than 7,166 kilos of different types of drugs, thousands of psychotropic drugs, thousands of kilograms of pesticides, solid chemicals, and alcoholic beverages and it was seized by these forces.
