36,000 poor women would be covered by agricultural programs

The Afghan Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock has launched a new agricultural project, that at least 36,000 economically poor women who are the family heads.
Agriculture Minister Nassir Ahmed Durrani added: “This year, we believe that with 36 thousand women who are headed by 36 thousand families, they promote the culture of chicken raising, cattle raising, and the construction of cold stores and small gardens, the economic situation of poor families would be strengthened.”
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock will have 500 million Afghans to implement this program, which will be implemented in all provinces during this year. “The ministry has helped 30350 poor ladies by creating small poultry farms, garden and other programs due to the economic growth of their families in 1397,” Mr. Durani has stated.
According to the Minister of Agriculture and Livestock, the project is currently being implemented in several northern provinces, but they have several plans to expand this economical program throughout the country for women.
