40,000 Pakistani citizens have been infected with AIDS due to sexually transmitted infections

The HIV / AIDS agency in Pakistan says that the number of people infected with HIV (AIDS) has been increased massively in the current year. According to Pakistani “Express Tribune” magazine, the number of people infected with AIDS has reached to 40,000, and so far 160,000 people have suffered from this disease.
The study, conducted by 60 medical teams in 20 cities of Pakistan, and the medical findings show that at last more than 40,000 cases of the disease have been registered with these teams and most of whom are recorded in Punjab. Officials have stated that the cause of having AIDS in Punjab is a sexual relationship. It is also said that there are currently 60,000 people have been affected by the diseases of HIV in Punjab.
