6 civilians and the military man was killed and 84 others wounded in today’s Kabul terrorist attack

The Afghan Ministry of Interior (MoI) has said that conflict between Afghan security forces and Taliban militants who targeted a military base of Defense ministry ended after eight hours this attack took place on Monday and the target of this attack was Ministry of Defense’s engineering department. “The Taliban’s terrorist attack on the Gulbahar town ended with the killing of five attackers,” Interior Ministry spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said. “This morning, at 8:55 am, Taliban militants targeted Gulbahar Town which is located in PD 16 of Kabul, first a heavy explosion of a motor bomb occurred in the area, and then 5 attackers entered surrounding buildings and start firing on the civilians.”
Mr. Rahimi emphasized that when the attack began, special police forces arrived at the site. “In today’s terrorist incident, unfortunately, including a security guard of Shamshad TV and a child killed 4 civilians were killed and 84 other civilians were wounded including women and School students,” he added. “Two special forces soldiers were also killed in the event. The Interior Ministry strongly condemns the Taliban’s attack on the civil area which is launched by the Taliban.”
The Taliban claimed responsibility for the incident, and have said that during this attack, Afghan forces have suffered heavy casualties. This terrorist attack took place today in Kabul while the Taliban group negotiating team and the US delegation have held peace talks and they are now pushing for the seventh round of peace talks.
