71 armed Taliban were arrested by security forces in Baghlan

Afghan security forces arrested 71 Taliban insurgents and suspects by launching several special operations in Baghlan province.
MOD spokesman Rohullah Ahmad Zai, says security forces demolition the Taliban ammunition depot in Dand Ghori Pul-e-Khumri last night by launching several clearance operations in Baghlan province and detaining more members of this group.
Local sources from the province reported that a Taliban (Qari Naeem) official was killed along with ten others in the airstrikes last night in Dandghuri.
Sources in the Talah and Barfak district of Baghlan have reported to the correspondent that (Mullah Mustaan), the Taliban intelligence officer for Talah and Barfak district, has killed two of his men in Dandguri.
General Abbas Tavakoli, commander of the army in Baghlan, said 71 Taliban and suspected individuals were detained during the operation last night and that their ongoing operations to capture the district are continuing.
Mr. Tavakali in a telephonic conversation said for Pasbanan Reporter that the Taliban Dahana Ghori district will be cleared tomorrow.
Another source in the army said the detainees also included Taliban Red Soldiers.
Dahaneh Ghori district of Baghlan has been the Taliban’s headquarters for more than three years and has become a Taliban safe and strategic district.
Meanwhile, Afghan security forces have been able to inflict more casualties on the Taliban in the past 24 hours, eliminating 52 Taliban insurgents in more than 13 provinces.
