Local officials in Badakhshan have said at least 9 Taliban insurgents have been killed and injured as a result of clashes between security forces and the Taliban. The Taliban launched a massive attack on several outposts in the Zaibak district of Badakhshan last night, killing at least 6 Taliban militants and wounding three others, according to Afghan security forces.

The case stated in the 209th Shahin Army Corps Newsletter: “The Taliban’s famous Taliban commander, Qari Baitullah, has also been eliminated during the clash.” The news comes as the Taliban launched Operation Fatah yesterday throughout the country, they have claimed that they have launched 93 operations on their first day of spring operations.
