Kabul-Afghanistan (PMG):

The Afghan Independent Election Commission (IEC) has announced that at least 9 leading candidates have been killed since the announcement of candidates final list for the House of Representatives in past months. Officials say that more than 10 other candidates have faced armed attacks since the official election campaign began.

According to reports, electoral candidates have already been killed in the provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, Kabul, Takhar and some other provinces, while spokesman for the Independent Election Commission (IEC) urged security forces of the country, notably the Interior Ministry to take serious measures to ensure the security of the upcoming parliamentary elections candidates.
