The Ghazni Department of Education has announced that at least five students were injured in a Mortar attack of a school during clashes between security forces and the Taliban in the village of Chori, in Ab-Band district of Ghazni. According to the Ghazni Department of Education newsletter, the clash took place Wednesday morning when students went to school at Abdullah Chori.

The news comes as a few weeks ago, the Taliban launched a rocket attack on another school in Ghazni province on which at least seven students and teachers were killed and several others got injured during this incident. The incident comes at a time when the Ministry of Education has repeatedly called on the conflict parties to avoid the use of educational facilities as a barrage in their struggle, and to end the attempts to end the students and teachers of this institution.
