A schoolgirl was shot down by her father in Baghlan

A father shot his daughter in the Burka district of Baghlan. Local sources in Burka told reporter of the Pasbanan Media group in the northeastern of the country that this incident took place in Burka district and the Schoolgirl was called Zarmina and she was an 11th-grade student in Burka district high school. According to the sources she was willing to escape with a young boy resident of Kunduz but during her trip, she was arrested by Afghan security forces and then she was hand over to her family.
According to the source, when the girl returned home, she was shot by her father this morning. The sources added that the father of the victim have fled the scene. Meanwhile, the report indicates that the victim of the incident was forced by her father to Mary an elder man twice of his age and the bride was a friend of his father. The source also said that Zarmina had fled from her house with a boy who was a resident of Kunduz. According to the official statistics in Baghlan, at least 6 engaged girls have been killed in Baghlan Burka since the beginning of the year due to family issues.
