Sebghatullah Ahmadi, spokesman for the State Department, wrote on his Facebook page. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, a representative of the embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Kabul, summoned Imran Khan.
Mr. Ahmadi added that the State Department asked the Pakistani Embassy’s assistant in Kabul to be clear about recent statements by Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan to establish a new government in the near future.
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has expressed its strong protest to the Pakistani government, making these statements an explicit intervention in its internal affairs.
