Abdullah: NATO has formed the new government of Afghanistan

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of NATO creation, today, this institution hosted a program in Kabul with the participation of senior Afghan government officials. Along with reminders of the victims of NATO troops in Afghanistan, members of the treaty once again announced that they would Support Afghan security forces. Meanwhile, Abdullah Abdullah, the Chief Executive of the National Unity Government says: “NATO has played an irreplaceable role in providing security& rebuilding ANDSF since 2002, imbued with the principle of civilian rule& democratic government. Glad to participate in NATO’s 70th anniversary & reiterate commitment to our lasting partnership.”
NATO has been present in Afghanistan by having military presence since 2002, which has since served under the command of US forces in the country. Currently, it has no role in warfare, but in the mission of assertive support for forces, Afghan security has an active role.
