Abdullah: past decades’ achievements would be red line for our national interest
Chief Executive of Afghanistan made a trip to Italy for participating in “approving strategic plan for world food program summit”. In the sidelines of this summit Mr. Abdullah meet with Enzo Movero Melansei Italy foreign minister. According to newsletter released by Sapidar Palace Abdullah Abdullah has said: “recent years achievements would be a red line to our national interest and we will defend it. At the same time, we are encouraged to have a peace and solidarity process with the opposite groups.”
Mr. Abdullah has also added: “our relations with neighboring countries would be based on good relations and we wish that all commitments provided by Pakistan to fight against terrorism would be implemented soon.” In this meeting Mr. Abdullah also briefed Italy foreign minister on upcoming elections process and he emphasized that Afghanistan National Unity Government is committed to hold transparent elections all around the country.
Enzo Movero Melansei Italy foreign minister mostly addressed implementation of peace in Afghanistan and told that it will benefits entire region. He said: “peace and stability in Afghanistan is crucial for Italy and achieving this goal means peace and stability to the region. Italian forces will be there with NATO or in Resolute support mission frame work for long term. For Italy peace in central Asia and south Asia is so crucial.”
Mr. Movero also emphasized that stability and peace in Afghanistan will cause economic development and also boosting trade with the entire region and Italy has nonetheless goals in Afghanistan.
