While less than 16 hours remain for holding the Afghan presidential elections, some citizens say they will go to the polling centers to represent democracy in the country, but only if their votes would be protected by the Afghan government. These citizens are calling on the authorities responsible for the electoral commissions to prevent widespread fraud and corruption in the voting process. Alongside those in Kabul, security forces say they have token serious security measures, and the Afghan citizens urge them to maintain security as the managed it in the previous elections.

Meanwhile, senior security officials said in a press conference that all measures had been taken to secure the elections and called on the citizens to go to the polling centers and elect the next president of Afghanistan.
