Al-Qaeda leader for Indian Peninsula was killed in security forces operation

The National Directorate of Security has confirmed that al-Qaeda leader for the Indian Peninsula was killed in a joint operation of security and defense forces. According to the news release of NDS, the prominent al-Qaeda commander was living in the Taliban camp in Musa Qala district of Helmand province, and he was killed during a joint operation of the country’s security and defense forces.
In addition to Asim Omar, other al-Qaeda key leaders have been killed during the operation. Alongside this issue, the newsletter also added, that during this operation Abu Raihan, a close association between the Taliban and al-Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri, had also been killed with several Taliban fighters as well as some Pakistani fighters.
