Arg: Afghan security forces have defeated the Taliban in the war

In a news release issued by the presidential Palace, General Scott Miller, the commander in chief of NATO forces in Afghanistan, said during a meeting with Ghani that the Afghan security and defense forces had defeated the insurgents in the war.
President Ashraf Ghani met with General Scott Miller, the commander-in-chief, on Sunday evening at twenty-two.
According to the presidential newsletter, General Miller praised the “increasing security and defense capabilities of the Afghan security forces” at the meeting. He also described the operation that the forces carried out recently to “crackdown on terrorists” as successful.
“General Scott Miller blamed the increase on the level of coordination between the Afghan security and defense forces for their victory and shared with the president the report of his evaluations of the security and defense organs,” the presidential citadel wrote in a news release.
Mr. Ghani reiterated at a meeting with the NATO commander that Afghan security forces are at the forefront of the fight against terrorism, and that cooperation and support from the international community are important.
