Arghanjkhwah districts of Badakhshan fell to Taliban hand due to lack of assistance

After nearly 20 hours of clashes between security forces and the Taliban in the Arghanjkhwah district of Badakhshan, the district building and its police headquarters fell under the Taliban’s hands. A source who did not want to be named, told Pasbanan media group, “The clash started last night, and the security forces suffered heavy casualties in this conflict, at least more than 20 soldiers died during this military operation of Taliban terrorists and several others got wounded. The source added that the reason for the fall of the district was the lack of assistance to Afghan security forces.
Meanwhile, sources in Badakhshan have said that the Taliban have been able to get dozens of vehicles of Afghan forces while capturing governmental institutions, in addition to the amount of ammunition and weapons of the security forces in the clashes by the armed opposition. Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that during this conflict, they have been able to kill several Afghan security forces and seize amount of vehicle and ammunition from Afghan forces.
