The National Directorate of Security (NDS) has released a newsletter that the Special Forces of this organization has managed to arrest 26 ISIS-K fighters in Kabul city. On the basis of the newsletter, they were arrested from various areas of Kabul city. In the course of these operations, the group leader was also arrested which was led by Abdullah.

The National Directorate of Security’s (NDS) newsletter added: “The purpose of these terrorists was to target the Ashura ceremony, but the national security forces were able to prevent from bloodshed in Ashura days and with special programs these terrorists were arrested before reaching to their targets.” However, Ashura is being held in Kabul and other provinces for upcoming two days, but security reports indicate that insurgents are increasingly trying to target Shiite religious sites and also Ashura ceremony.
