According to Public security forces media office, a senior Taliban commander has been killed in Balkh district, north of the country, according to the newsletter released by this institution it’s said that this Talib commander has been killed during a search operation. The newsletter also states that the operation was killed in Buko village of Balkh district. Salim, known as Khadem, is believed to be the most famous and dangerous Taliban commander in the Balkh district, who had been under the persuasion of security forces for some time.

Meanwhile, Jawaid Neyazai spokesman for the public security forces has said that during this operation another Talib militant was wounded while another insurgent was arrested a by their forces. In addition, it is also said that the search and clearance operation is ongoing in Balkh district and it is said that the security forces are willing to end the presence of armed opposition.
