In order to prevent the increase of criminal offenses, in particular, armed robbery, Herat Police have banned the wearing of men’s heads with blankets and handkerchiefs in the city. A spokesman for Herat police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizadeh said: “Covering of men’s affairs with napkins and blankets has caused fear among residents of this province, and after this man who is covered their head and face with Blanket and handkerchiefs can’t go to city anymore.”

Mr. Walizadeh also said police investigations show that some of the perpetrators are faced with many criminal offenses and acts of sabotage. According to him, Herat Police Command has ordered all security areas in this province to deal seriously with the number of people who want to deal with armed robbery or commit other crimes.
