In the following weeks, two leading presidential candidates in Afghanistan, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the current president of the country, and Mohammad Hanif Atmar, a former national security adviser to the National Unity Government, has started pre-election campaigns in separate meetings and advertised their electoral debates. Now this issue has sparked sharp concern for election observation institutions. These institutions have claimed that the electoral campaigns of Mohammad Hanif Atmar and President Ghani have been campaigning before the official election campaign time.
Meanwhile, reports have been published that the first lady sent money to Nangarhar to launch electoral campaigns, but the money has fallen into the hands of Taliban, and the group has also fired these money. So far, the First Lady and the Presidential Palace have not yet stated their views on this matter.
