Bilcheragh district of Faryab was recaptured from Taliban today

The Ministry of National Defense (MoD) has released a newsletter that Bilcheragh district of Faryab was recaptured from the Taliban. According to a news release of MoD: “Defense and Security Forces led by the commando forces and local forces of the National Army, launched a special operation, and today they were able to retake Bilcheragh district of Faryab Province after a year from Taliban. The district of Bilcheragh was under the control of this group for a year, during which they ransom people and locked the schools’ hostage to innocent people and took all of their assets.”
The newsletter also states: “The country’s security and defense forces will clean up all areas which are under the control of armed opposition and calm the Afghan people, and will provide the ground for the peace and prosperity of their compatriots.” No casualties have been reported to the Taliban by the National Defense Forces yet. The Taliban have not said anything about the recapturing of the district yet.
