One day ago, Afghanistan witnessed a historical event for change, setting up the elections program in 34 provinces, the process began from 7 am and ends at 5 pm. But 2019 presidential elections also had several challenges, Biometric system did not work properly and voters name were not present in the voting list of elections commission, meanwhile with all the challenges the Afghan citizens went to polling stations and they used to exercise democracy in Afghanistan as the fight goes on in the war-torn country and eligible citizens voted to describe their faith and upcoming president.

With low profile presence of the voters and also emotional social campaigns of leading election candidate’s supporters are other side of challenges which can possibly harm the elections process, as two leading candidates have announced that they are the winner of elections in the first round and have predict their victory, but with all ugly face of the elections process, 2019 presidential elections so far have beauties as well. Kabul resident Mohammed Yassin said: “the succeed of election process is due to the efforts which were made by Afghan security and defense forces and now the are judged for all their incredible work by the citizens, once again they assured us that Afghan security forces are capable of holding challenging examinations and they would succeed in all of their efforts.”

Meanwhile, elections commission officials thank Afghan security and defense forces for securing the elections process, according to the officials, Taliban were willing to insecure the voting centers but with all their efforts, Taliban were failed in their attempts. Hawa Alam Nuristani, Independent Eelctions commission head says: “with all security threats and challenges Afghan security and defense forces were present at the 99.8 polling stations and they were able to deliver tight security and they complete their obligations and responsibilities with success. We, praise the citizens of Afghanistan, security forces and media that they provide the opportunity to hold the elections.”
