President Ghani has had momentum on Taliban peace talks with the United States. “Zalmai Khalilzad was connected with the President of Afghanistan by telephone and he has informed the president on the US-led peace talks with the Taliban, which was held in Qatar,” said Mohammad Omar Dawoodzai, head of the High Peace Council Secretariat said to media. Mohammad Omar Dawoodzai, while outlining the issue, earlier Afghan National Security Adviser stated in Washington, that the United States is trying to isolate the national unity government in talks with the Taliban.
