Omar Dawoudzai, the head of the Secretariat of the High Peace Council, and the Special Representative of the President for Afghanistan’s Peace Consensus on Saturday (16 March), traveled to Tehran on a two-day visit. The purpose of this visit is to provide practical and coordinated support for Afghanistan’s peace. A spokesman for the Peace Council, Sayed Ehsan Taheri, has said that Mohammad Omar Daudzzi will meet with the foreign minister, national security advisor and deputy head of the Iranian National Security Council during his two-day visit to Iran.

At the first meeting, Omar Daudzzi discussed with Jawad Zarif, Iran’s foreign minister, during a meeting, Mr. Jawid emphasized that the Iranian government supports the process of talks with senior Afghan Taliban leadership and ownership, while The representative of Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has already traveled to Pakistan, India and China and is scheduled to travel to Russia.
