Local authorities in Badghis province have reportedly said that at least 59,000 children have left from enrolling to schools in the province due to the security situation and poor economic situation. According to local authorities in Badghis, these children are deprived of going to school in Qala-e-Now and Badghis districts.

This news is being released today as the school bell was being rehearsed all over the country since the New Educational Year begun, and local authorities in Badghis have pledged to work in partnership with the security forces in order to reopen threatened schools. In addition, plans have been made to improve the quality of education in Badghis schools as well.

Meanwhile, Governor of Badghis Abdul Ghayoor Malakzai has said at the ceremony of new educational year that two thousand official teachers and salaries will be attracted. Badghis local officials added that more than 12,000 children will be enrolled in the New Year.
