According to reports, a number of members of the House of Representatives are trying to re-hold elections for the appointing of the Speaker of Parliament, it is said that today the opposition of Meer Rahman Rahmani are trying to a gather 110 signature from parliamentary members. But a number of parliamentarians who voted for Mr. Mir Rahman Rahmani said that there is no need to elect an interim chief because the Speaker of the House of Representatives was elected by majority of vote. Meanwhile, opponents of Mr. Mir Rahman say he was not able to achieve (50+1) votes, so Mr. Rahmani’s appointment as the parliament speaker is now a right decision.

The reports are being published in a time while a decision was taken yesterday by a panel of 15 members elected by members of the House of Representatives to select Mir Rahman Rahmani as Speaker of the House of Representatives, and the election day was scheduled for today The parliamentary deputies were elected, but with the intervention of the parliamentary security forces, MPs loyal to Mr. Mir Rahman were not allowed to enter the parliament today.
