End of Czech soldier presence in Afghanistan front lines
Czech authorities said on Thursday that after this their soldiers stationed in Bagram would not participate in missions that are so dangerous and insecure areas. They have said that after this they would be present in supporting role on the front lines in the country. At present, dozens of troops are in the framework of a decisive support mission in Afghanistan.
Western media quoted Stefan Murinsky the deputy commander of the Joint Operations Center said western media: “Following these troops, Czech troops appears in supporting and covering of Afghan security forces in the war. A technical shift in our troop operations is the response to the Taliban’s terrorist attacks, in which 3 Czech soldiers were killed in August of 2018.”
