Erdogan: The time has come for the Ayasophia Museum to become a mosque

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the time of the conversion of the Ayasophia from a Museum to the world’s largest and most beautiful mosque has come to light. Erdogan considered the conversion of this mosque to a museum to be a big mistake. In a television interview, he said that after this Ayasophia would be called a mosque. It is still unclear what the cost of rebuilding the mosque will be how much, but Mr. Erdogan said that the world will witness the most beautiful place for in Turkey.
Ayasophia is located at the entrance to the Bosporus and it was an ancient church. It was built in the 6th century but became a mosque in the 15th century during the Ottoman Empire. In 1930 Ayasophia became a museum.
