Local authorities in Baghlan province say five children and a woman were killed and injured as a result of a mortar shell explosion in the Nahrin district of Baghlan province.
Local sources in the Nahrain Baghlan district reported to a correspondent of Pasbanan in the north-eastern zone: This morning a mortar shell exploded in the Nahrain Baghlan district, killing two children and one woman, and wounding three others.
Sources said the incident occurred in the Taliban-controlled fishing zone, which also destroyed a home.
Meanwhile, authorities at the Nahrin Provincial Hospital have reported a good health condition of the incident.
According to sources, the mortars were embedded by the armed opposition who were trying to disrupt the Election Day in Nahrain district, but exploded before polling stations, killing three and injuring three others.
