Five dead in a roadside mine blast in Daykundi

Sakineh Ehsani, the spokesman for Daikundi Governor, said that four passengers were killed and five were wounded by a roadside mine accident in the province, of which 2 were reported to be serious. Ms. Ehsani said the incident occurred in the joint market of the Newish district of Daikundi province, and the vehicle was about to move to Herat but hit the mine on the road.
Local sources say that the mine was embedded by the Taliban group. But so far, the Taliban have not been responsible for the incident.
