Five employees and Former secretariat head of IEC were banned from trip

The General Attorney Office announced that five Independent Election Commission officials including the head of IEC secretariat were banned from trip to outside of Afghanistan. According to the Attorney Generals Newsletter: “These people have been banned due to abusing their professional competencies. Which includes the head of the independent elections commission secretariat, the deputy director of operational affairs, the head of ICT, and the head of the Independent Election Commission’s field operations.”
The newsletter of Attorney general Office has also said investigations are ongoing in connection with the abuse of the mandate of the commissioners of the electoral commissions and this case will be fairly investigated, as well as other criminal cases by the country’s legal and judicial authorities.
