Report: Shershah Nawabi

After tensions increased in Balkh now Afghan Interior deputy minister warns that no one can confront security forces. General Khushal Saadat, Interior Deputy Minister has written on his Twitter page: “Raqib will be accompanied by Special Forces units. The situation is controlled & nothing to be worried about. Additional forces will also soon reach Balkh. H.E President @ashrafghani decree will be implemented without any delay or hesitation.”

As Atta Mohammad Noor, the former governor of Balkh and Chief executive of Jamyat Islami party has warned all Balkh citizens to do not open their shops and be in your homes, Mr. Saadat believes that according to presidential decree, interior ministry will follow the orders of President Ghani, according to Gen. Saadat: “ Considering the worsening security situation of Balkh province, H.E President @ashrafghani appointed Abdul Raqib Mobarez (former CRU222 Commander) as new Police Chief for Balkh. Unfortunately his predecessor Ekram Samay is not willing to leave his post & accept the new appointment.

Recently President Ghani first vice president for upcoming elections, Amrullah Saleh wrote on his Facebook page that appointment of new police commander for Balkh doesn’t mean confrontation and using power against other parties.
