Germany’s Foreign Minister, in a meeting with Afghan Army forces in Mazar-i-Sharif, said that Berlin is committed to its role in the peace process in Afghanistan.

The German Foreign Minister, Haiku Mas, arrived in Mazar-i-Sharif last night and after meeting with the German forces stationed in northern Afghanistan on his Twitter page, we are committed to fulfilling our duty and finding a peaceful solution to Afghanistan.

Mr. Moss also adds that Germany is the second donor and supplier of military force in Afghanistan and intends to continue its responsibilities.

Hikko Mas is expected to meet with Afghan officials to discuss the various issues and the peace process in the country.

Meanwhile, the German Foreign Minister plans to travel to Pakistan after traveling to Afghanistan. More than 1,000 German troops are stationed as part of NATO’s strong support for training Afghan security forces in the city of Mazar-i-Sharif.
