Ghani: Afghanistan’s economy needs to be digitalized

President Ghani attended dinner yesterday with some senior government officials who had met at the of the country’s 15th information technology and digitization summit. “The government has introduced a national program budget for information technology this year,” the president told the participants. “We have a clear plan for Afghan national waters that should be managed digitally.”
Meanwhile, Mohammed Fahim Hashemi, the acting minister of telecommunications and information technology, spoke about technology solutions and said, “We have studied most models under the guidance of the President of the country and we want to use technology in all aspects of life. An important issue was that we are dealing with is the digital economy and we must use our information and not lose sight of the value of information.”
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology is planning to put forward a digital roadmap on which Afghanistan would be able to move towards a digital society.
