Shahzad Gul Aryobi, the country’s Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology, said in an interview with a foreign TV that it would be possible for the government to filter out social networks subject to the Facebook network in Afghanistan. Mr. Aryobi, who was called on the BBC for television interview has stated that Afghan government has urged the Ministry of Communications to work with Facebook to identify and block user accounts that are fake, immoral and dependent on terrorists and these accounts are used in Afghanistan to smash national resources. They must be closed.
But Mr. Aryobi emphasizes that these proposals by the Afghan government have not been accepted by Facebook officials, however, the Afghan government is working to increase sanctions on the Facebook network.
